Living and painting are inseparable for me. I live and feel the painting also when I do not hold my brush. I conceive creation in an organic way, as life. Painting naturally is key. The strokes are already in the canvas – like the sculpture is in the stone – you just need to make the strokes apparent.
Three constants have marked my artwork since the beginning: the prominent role of light, an interest in transmitting atmosphere and a concern for the compositional structure.
I want to suggest with the stain and evoke with colour using a straightforward language, always with measurement. I understand my artwork as a conversation: When all has been said, one more word, one more stroke, distorts the message.
